SAINT MARK'S ANGLICAN CHURCH OF TACA-WEST

A Co-Founding Church of Traditional Anglican Church of America (TACA)

FOR OVER 40 YEARS, Saint Mark's Anglican Church (SMAC) has been a humble fixture in a quiet desert and mountain-foothill mid-sized northwestern USA town. Actually, the small structure is a historic cathedral of American Anglicanism, known to have exerted an important precursory influence over the Continuing Anglican Movement.

Situated in their spiffy storefront on Main Street, the Congregation has celebrated Holy Communion, and Morning and Evening Prayer Services in the "Sunshine City of Oregon" since the founders of Convocation of the Good Shepherd (bishops Bob Baker and Edwin Caudill) began hosting prayer services in the cafeteria of a nearby community center in the 1970s. The "Convocation" later became today's TACA.

Saint Mark's current Rector, David Fleming is a renowned Liturgical leader within traditional Anglican ecclesia and is a TACA Bishop. Staying obedient to the 1928 Book of Common Prayer and commandeering its rubrics, Bp. Fleming exemplifies the age-old Anglican formularies that were taught to him by SMAC's former Rector and the founder of TACA's Diocese of the West, Bishop Paul Leeman. Grace Leeman, the founder's wife, is Saint Mark's secretary. Together, this trio, along with David's wife, Debbie, bring praise and thanksgiving through the Holy Spirit to the loyal members and guests, as the Congregation sings stanzas from the 1940 U.S. Episcopal Hymnal and gives charity to needy residents of Klamath County.

The archetypal bi-vocational ministers, Bp. Fleming and the Leemans cut high figures of Christian aesthetics. Bp. Fleming is a longtime cargo-shipping mogul. Bp. Leeman is a distinguished Air Force veteran and aviation device advisor, a born leader who bought, sold, and operated heavy equipment while also running excavating jobs during his days of pastoring Saint Paul's Anglican Church in Montague, California. Mrs. Leeman is the senior bookkeeper, educator, ministries overseer, and Warden of Saint Mark's.
